Hannah Timm

Hannah holds a master’s degree in Medical Physics from the Technical University Dortmund, where she specialized in neural informatics and medical imaging. During her master’s thesis at IKIM, she developed a deep learning–based segmentation model for blood vessels in H&E-stained whole slide images of renal cell carcinoma. In her PhD she now continues her research in computational pathology, focusing on the identification of morphological biomarkers in histopathological images, with the goal of improving survival prediction and supporting therapy decisions in cancer treatment.
