Moritz Rempe
Team Lead Medical Physics
Institute for AI in Medicine, Germany
Moritz studied Medical Physics at TU Dortmund, specializing in the application of deep learning to medical and physical data. He completed his PhD at IKIM within the k-Radiomics project, where he pioneered the use of complex-valued neural networks to extract comprehensive insights directly from MRI raw data (k-space). Now leading the Medical Physics team at IKIM, Moritz also directs the ongoing k-Radiomics initiative. His research bridges artificial intelligence and fundamental physics, developing physics-informed AI models that obey established laws to ensure they are interpretable, efficient, and robust.
