Muhammad studied Communications and Multimedia Engineering at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg, where he developed a strong foundation in image processing and deep learning. During his studies, he worked as a student assistant at Fraunhofer HTL, focusing on automated materials analysis, particularly the segmentation of impurities in ceramic materials using advanced segmentation models. He is currently a PhD researcher at IKIM, where his work focuses on leveraging interactive foundation models for PET/CT lesion segmentation and supporting the automation of clinical reporting workflows in cancer diagnosis and treatment.
